NotesSunny, cold day for raptor survey. This route follows the Des Moines River, winds through some farmland, pastureland, and some limited wooded areas as the route travels to the wetlands near Mt. Sterling and then back north to some open areas near Lake Sugema and ending at Ely Ford in Lacey-Keosauqua State Park which provides viewing opportunities for perching raptors along the Des Moines River.
